Teaneck Councilmembers Orgen and Schwartz File for Re-election, Endorsed by Deputy Mayor Katz Ahead of November Polls

 

Teaneck, NJ – August 22, 2024 – Teaneck Councilmembers Karen Lew Orgen and Mark J. Schwartz have officially submitted their signed petitions to appear on the ballot for the November 5 general election, marking the start of their campaign for re-election. The petitions were delivered to the Teaneck municipal clerk at the Teaneck Municipal Building on Wednesday, August 13, well before the August 22 deadline.

 

By obtaining nearly 400 signed petitions, surpassing the required 316, the candidates have demonstrated strong community support and have prepared diligently to ensure their inclusion in the election amidst a competitive field. “I am profoundly grateful for the continued trust and support of the Teaneck community. It motivates us to keep working hard and delivering results,” said Karen Lew Orgen. Mark J. Schwartz added, “Our commitment to Teaneck has never been stronger. This support is a clear sign that our work resonates with the residents, and it fuels our campaign with positive energy.”

 

Deputy Mayor Elie Y. Katz, who has worked closely with both candidates for many years, strongly endorses their candidacy. “Karen and Mark have consistently demonstrated their commitment and capability in serving our community. Their dedication to Teaneck and its residents is evident in everything they do, and I fully support their re-election,” stated Deputy Mayor Katz.
